To make sure your underwater journey is a successful one, you must complete the tasks listed below.


 

Task 1 - SPEAKING THE LANGUAGE OF A SCUBA DIVER. Find the

definitions of the words listed in your special 'Diver's Notebook' to help you on your expedition. 

 

Task 2 - WHAT DOES A SCUBA DIVER WEAR? To make sure you are

dressed appropriately and safely for deep sea diving, investigate the outfit of a Scuba

Diver. Design your own scuba diving outfit.

 

 

Task 3 - LOCATION, LOCATION! Find a map of the world and highlight

and mark where the Great Barrier Reef is found. Make sure to label each of the continents

and major oceans and seas.

 

 

Task 4 - WHAT DOES A CLOWN FISH LOOK LIKE?

To help you spot the Clown Fish you will need to know what it looks like.

Identify and describe its characteristics.           

 

 

Task 5 - SURVIVAL OF THE CLOWN FISH. Find out about all the

different foods Clown Fish eat to survive. Research the habitat and environment the

Clown Fish lives in. With this information create a diorama that displays the habitat

of a Clown Fish. 

 

 

Task 6 - TEAM WORK. In groups of 4, organise a presentation to

the Australian Marine Biologist Association reporting on your findings. Make sure you

present your PowerPoint Presentation in addition with the diorama you have created in class.     

     

   To help you complete the above tasks, Harry the Marine Biologist has given you a  Diver's

Notebook where you can take note of any interesting facts, information and images you come

across on your journey.
